However, it\u2019s not always applicable since it depends on how sleepy is your kid\u2019s body on the daytime and bedtime routine the kid has been through.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s how you can make bedtime an easy task\u2026<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Relax Before Bedtime<\/h3>\n<p>Before bedtime, encourage your child to relax. There are many activities that encourage sleeping like\u00a0<strong>reading a book, listening to soft music<\/strong>\u00a0or you can get your kid to practice\u00a0<strong>relaxation breathing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If it takes your kid more than 30 minutes to sleep, then you need to start the bedtime routine a little bit earlier.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Keep Older Children\u2019s Naps Early And Short<\/h3>\n<p>At 3-5 years of age, your children will stop napping. But, if your kid is over 5 years old and wants to take a nap, don\u2019t make it last more than\u00a0<strong>20 minutes in the afternoon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>If they nap past afternoon and for longer than 20 minutes, then, it\u2019ll be really hard to get them to sleep at their bedtime at night.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Set Up A Bedtime Routine<\/h3>\n<p>Every time on a daily basis you should start your regular bedtime routine with your kids to promote their sleep patterns. You can give them a warm bath, and read them a bedtime story while in bed. Also, it\u2019ll really help to have relaxing music playing in the background to encourage them to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>For older kids, you can have a little chat about how their day was in a smooth way before putting the lights out.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Check Your Child\u2019s Bedroom<\/h3>\n<p>You need to make sure that your kid\u2019s bedroom is set for a good sleep. How? You should keep the room dimly lit and quiet to encourage sleeping.<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What delays your kid\u2019s sleeping?<\/h4>\n<p>Watching televisions, phones, tablets, and computer screens produce blue light that suppresses melatonin levels and delays sleepiness.<\/p>\n<p>So, make a rule where your kid should put all devices aside one hour before sleeping and shut down any television or PC.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Keep Regular Sleep And Wake Times<\/h3>\n<p>It\u2019s hard to keep standard wake-up times and bedtimes every day.
